TimberSIL
TimberSIL is a formulation for treating wood and lumber to prevent biological degradation, insect infestation, and damage from other common wood problems. The substances in TimberSIL are not only insoluble, meaning they will not leach out, but non-corrosive and non-toxic as well. The main compound behind TimberSIL's treating process involves the use of liquid sodium silicates - microscopic particles of glass in an aqueous solution. The movable liquid glass penetrates and adheres to the wood before transitioning to an immovable solid to protect the wood. The treated wood product is designed and approved for use in interior, exterior above ground, and exterior below ground applications.
Currently, TimberSIL is joining up with treating companies and material dealers across the U.S. to increase production and distribution of their product. They continue to search for new treaters and distributors to increase their overall capacity and output.
