Renewable Hydrogen Gas
Hydrogen Gas for many years has been known to be a source of clean energy with some baggage. The baggage that comes with Hydrogen gas does not occur naturally here on Earth so it needs to be created using fossil fuels, which means that hydrogen gas is not really “clean energy.” The company HyperSolar may have found a way to utilize both solar power and hydrogen gas to create a truly clean source of hydrogen gas that can be used for fuel.
To make this happen, HyperSolar created a system that actually is inspired by the natural process of photosynthesis. It is a solar-powered nanoparticle system that uses photo-electrochemical nanoparticles that float in wastewater in the transparent vessels shown above to create natural hydrogen gas solely from the energy of sunlight. The reason wastewater is used is because during the process the water is naturally purified, so it only optimizes the processes and functionality.
