Infinia Combined Heat and Power System

The Infinia combined heat and power (CHP) system uses a Stirling generator to produce electricity from just about any fuel source. The waste heat released by the engine and generator is captured and then used for cooking, space and water heating, drying, or other heating processes. When used properly, the CHP system is about 95% efficient, compared to an average power plant, which is about 30% efficient.

The CHP system has been available for several years now, but has yet to garner much share in the small power generation market. The Infinia system is currently marketed to the residential housing and military industries, but they are looking to fulfill other application needs as well.
