Beth Weaver - Senior Communications Consultant

Beth Weaver is a senior communications consultant with over 20 years of experience in media relations, social marketing, government and event management.

She manages public relations and marketing efforts for Newport Partners and its programs, including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Disaster Mitigation Strategies project and the U.S. Department of Energy's Builders Challenge initiative. Ms. Weaver previously directed communications efforts for HUD's Strategies for Reducing Regulatory Barriers to Affordable Housing and the PATH Concept Home Omaha program.

Her prior experience includes senior level positions with public relations agencies, non-profit organizations and the federal government. She was Director of the Office of Public Affairs for the U.S. Department of the Treasury where she served as a spokesman and coordinated public relations activities for its currency redesign and Direct Deposit public awareness
campaigns. Ms. Weaver has also led communications efforts for several transportation, public utility and advocacy campaigns.

Ms. Weaver holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Delaware. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, National Capital Chapter.
