Chad Garner - Project Manager
Chad J. Garner is a project manager for Newport Partners LLC. His experience includes identifying new and emerging technologies in the home building industry, with a strong focus on evaluating applicability, effectiveness, and integration. He is currently assessing the effectiveness of new tools for improving productivity in military family housing.
Previously, Mr. Garner served as a Project Manager at the NAHB Research Center, where he coordinated Field Evaluations, administered Technical support, and developed the Technology Inventory project phase for the Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing (PATH) program. He also managed construction of the MADE Demonstration Homes at the NAHB National Research Home Park, where he focused on improving housing affordability, marketability, and durability.
Mr. Garner’s other areas of expertise include Building Codes and Standards, Rehabilitation Codes and Provisions, economic and feasibility analysis, and consulting and management services in land development. He has extensive experience in working with steel framing, and has contributed to disaster assessments.
His previous experience includes Director of Quality Control and Customer Service for Robie Homes in West Virginia, and as General Superintendent for Bruce Davis, Incorporated in Maryland.
Mr. Garner received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland, with Certificates of Concentration in Finance and Business Administration.
